1982
Support for General Practice
In 1982, general practice professors, united as the IOH, adopt a joint stance and issue a position paper on the conditional funding of research. 1983
Strengthening GP Training and Research

1984
IOH Report on undergraduate medical education
In a report from the IOH, written for the Adviescommissie Opleidingen Geneeskundigen (Advisory Committee on Medical Training), the professors of General Practice outline the shortcomings in the current basic curriculum. In partnership with the NHG the UNH advocates for the promotion of academic general practice.
2022
Agreement on the important role of GP supervisors
The LHV, NHG, InEen, and UNH agree on the significant role of the GP supervisor. GP supervisors enhance the quality of general practice care. Their training equips them to uphold and develop the core tasks and values of Dutch general practice. In this way, they bring new insights in knowledge, skills, and collaboration on specific topics – making them accessible and useful for all GPs.
